Individualized treatment that makes the difference

We utilize an Interdisciplinary Team Approach care to develop individualized treatment plans. Each member of the team is highly skilled and experienced in the care of ventilator-dependent Resident-Neighbors.

This team includes Board Certified Pulmonologists, Registered Respiratory Therapists, Nursing Professionals, Recreation Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, DieticianNutritionists, Social Workers, Psycho-Social Counselors and Case Managers.

At Northeast Center, we believe that family involvement and support is essential to ventilator care, rehabilitation and in ventilator weaning. Family members are included in the treatment process and in discharge planning. The Interdisciplinary Treatment Team provides education and training in the skills needed after discharge.

Our commitment to our residents’ improved quality-of-life is demonstrated by individual goal setting. Whenever possible, the primary focus of ventilator rehabilitation is to wean an individual from mechanical ventilation and to resume or regain an optimal level of independent function. Our mission is always for the individual to return home and be integrated back in their home community.
