Albert Riddle, M.D., Named Medical Director at Northeast Center
for Special Care
Lake Katrine, NY April 3, 2008: Northeast
Center for Special Care, a 280-bed specialty rehabilitation program for
traumatic brain injury, is pleased to announce the appointment of Albert
Riddle, M.D. as its new Medical Director.
Dr. Riddle, who has close to 20 years experience in the long-term care
field, has served as the Northeast Center’s Interim Medical Director
since the December 19, 2007 retirement of Dr. Richard Hodder. Dr. Riddle,
who specializes in internal medicine, is president and chief executive
officer of Riddle Medical Group of Garnerville, NY, which provides medical
direction and services to long-term care facilities throughout the region.
In addition, he is a board member of the American Society of Consultant
Pharmacists.
“I have worked in Northeast Center for Special Care on occasion over the
past six years and I am excited to be here in a more permanent capacity,”
Dr. Riddle said. A graduate of Downstate Medical College in Brooklyn, Dr.
Riddle also served as national corporate medical director of NeighborCare
Inc., one of the largest providers of pharmacy services to the long-term
care population, serving facilities in 35 states across the country. He
has also served as medical director at such long-term facilities as
Achieve Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Eden Park in Poughkeepsie,
Hudson Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Bethel Homes in
Westchester, Cortlandt Healthcare Center, Pelham Parkway Nursing Home in
the Bronx and the Wartburg Home in Mount Vernon. In 2006, Dr. Riddle was
awarded the designation of Certified Medical Director in long-term care by
the Board of Directors of the American Medical Director’s Association.

Northeast Center for Special Care is a state-of-art
rehabilitation program for individuals with brain injury, neurobehavioral
disorders, spinal cord injury, and ventilator dependency. Established in
