  • Behavior Tech II
    Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury is currently looking for Behavior Tech II to join the Northeast Center team. This position will work directly with our residents on a daily basis, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.

    We are a one-of-a-kind rehabilitation and community re-entry facility in Lake Katrine, NY (near Kingston, NY), specializing in:

    * Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
    * Neurobehavioral Disorders
    * Ventilator Care and Ventilator Weaning

    The duties of this position are as follows:

    * Participate in the care of residents throughout shift, including assist with neighbor participation in daily activities
    * Provide safety, comfort of residents, including 1:1 monitoring through Close Visual Observation (CVO) and Increased Supervision (IS) 15 minutes checks, if necessary
    * Record and document the data collection and analysis of residents behavioral episodes in the Behavior Log Book
    * Intervene during challenging behaviors, including calling the proper code in a timely manner, when necessary
    * In the absence of the Receptionist, may be asked to assist with front desk coverage, including answering in-coming calls and visitor sign-in and sign-out

    Skill and experience requirements
    * Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
    * Must have prior experience in healthcare. direct patient care, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) patients preferred
    * Able to maintain professional demeanor and attitude at all times, including crisis situations
    * Need to be dependable, adaptable to change and able to work in a fast-paced environment
    * Able to handle confidential information
    * Must be able to work overtime or flexible shifts when needed

    We are currently hiring Full Time CNAs for our 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM and 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM shifts (7.5 hr/5 day/week).

    We offer GREAT benefits, pay rates and weekend shift differentials with no mandating! Advancement opportunities available as well.

    Our evening and overnight shifts come with a $1.50 shift differential and all our weekend shifts have an additional $1.00 differential.

We are the largest brain injury treatment program in the world. We are a facility where talented people are given the opportunity to use their special skills, be creative and push the envelope.

    We are currently looking for a Therapeutic Educator to join the Northeast Center team. This is a salaried, full time position responsible for teaching and helping to develop a curriculum focused on disability education, wellness education, cognitive and social skills development.

    A bachelor's degree in a related field, high energy, outgoing personality, great people skills, excellent communication skills, creativity, and professionalism are required. A Master's Degree in Special Education with current Teaching Certificate, License, and experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred.
