Paul was transferred from another
rehabilitation facility to our Center. Accustomed to
drawing, the art studio provided a natural environment
for him. Never at a loss for graphic ideas, he
unhesitatingly has developed a body of exquisite colored
pencil drawings. Occasionally he adds watercolor when
developing a single figure. The painting represented
here, his first acrylic on canvas, becomes a logical
extension of his drawings. He allows the paint to
breathe by utilizing white intervals just as he does
with colored pencils. We hope he will become motivated
enough to regain ambulation, of which he is capable.
