Paul
D. is an active participant of the Fine Arts Program, engrossed
in drawing and painting.
He is a quiet, thoughtful, humorous individual who may surprise
one with a wry comment at any moment.
He always enjoyed art back to his early school days and remembers with
pride that his high school art teacher bought his paintings.
Paul often depicts images of the sea, boats, sky and horizon.
His paintings have a spacious, open quality as if air is moving
through them.
He also draws and paints more ethereal, abstract images as in
this recently created Art for the
Heart watercolor painting. This soft piece depicts a spaceship,
hearts floating inside the sky vehicle, and energy emanating around it. Paul
paints portraits and other works as well.
Clearly, his fine art work is an important avenue of expression
for him.
