"Journies" 18" x 24" 2005
By Burton A.
A
diving accident dramatically changed the life of Burton A. who became a quadriplegic as a result.
Burton, with great wisdom, welcomed this shift.
As a serious poet and writer he has mined his soul evolving a
most poignant and sensitive vision.
Not surprisingly, he eventually journeyed into the Art Studio and
began to create visual art as well as works of the written word.
Burton was initially drawn into painting through a collaborative mural
project combining text and imagery.
Working off the beginnings offered by others he contributed to a
particular panel with great depth, symbolism, and meaning.
He worked with meticulous care, similar to that required of those
who created illuminated manuscripts in olden days.
He quietly unified the disjointed work of other participants.
