Charles was born with spinal bifida and finds art relaxing - he is
self-taught and he gradually educated himself through doodling, drawing
and needlepoint rather than through formal art training. After an
initial attraction to jewelry making at Northeast Center, he began
working on independent projects in the Art Studio. He
demonstrated a talent for architectural drawing and other highly
meticulous work.
