"Isolated" 16' x 20' 2007
By Coleen L.
Coleen has worked-through challenges such as a brain tumor, a seizure
disorder, and other related issues over the years since she was young.
As a child she loved drawing, influenced by an older sister who was a
painter. In her teen and later years she’s enjoyed diverse arts and
crafts, both two and three dimensional
For Coleen, her art is a “lovely thing to do”, a symbol of beauty
inspired by nature. Her art has an expansive, spacious quality as seen
in this painting, demonstrating a modernist connection discovered
through instinct. While she never received formal art training, her work
reveals the ability to express a personal vision through the pristine
use of color and composition.
