Jennifer is a survivor of stroke and seizures who enjoyed art as a child. She remembers painting country scenery, abstract imagery and cartoons. In High School she was involved with drawing, painting and stenciling. Since coming to Northeast Center Jennifer has worked in the Fine Arts Program which has helped renew her love of art. Likewise, her artmaking is helping her to regenerate herself. Jennifer had never painted in watercolor before. Her recent work, “Eva’s
Apple,” is a self-portrait,
showing the inquisitive nature of this woman. She looks forward to the
exploration of ideas and media.
